Nanyang Girls’ beats arch-rivals Tanjong Katong Girls’ to enter C Division softball final

Nanyang Girls' High School and Tanjong Katong Girl' School have always been traditional rivals in the Inter-school softball tournament. Earlier this year, The TKGS B Division girls emerged victorious over Nanyang Girls' in the final to be crowned champions. This time round, both schools were fighting for a berth in the C Division final and it was Nanyang Girls' who took sweet revenge when they beat TKGS 14-11.

T. Piriyah – the new B Division 400m queen

T.Piriyah was the toast of her school on Friday when the Singapore Sports School runner shattered a 37-year-old National B Division Girls 400m record by one second. She clocked 57.11secs and finished 3 seconds ahead of her nearest rival.

Goh Weining of Singapore Sports School sets new record in C Division Girls 80m hurdles

Goh Weining (#84) of the Singapore Sports School won the C Division Girls 80m hurdles gold at the 49th Inter-school Track & Field Championships with a record time of 12.52s. Weining broke the record of 12.70s set by Inez Leong of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' in 2007.

Clara Wong of MGS wins biathlon gold

Amidst fears of a brewing storm, Clara Wong of Methodist Girls' School won the gold medal in the Individual Senior B Girls category with a timing of 37 minutes 16 seconds (swim: 14 min 23 sec, run: 22 min 54 sec), a slight drop from her previous timing clocked last year but nonetheless still a repeat of last year's gold-medal feat.
