Water polo: NUS hold off late challenge from Masters to defend their title with a 14-10 victory

National University of Singapore (NUS) stated their dominance in the pool with a 14-10 victory over Masters in the NUS Water Polo Challenge final, retaining their title successfully. Meanwhile, Ngee Ann Polytechnic clinched second runners-up after beating Singapore Management University 12-7 in the bronze medal playoff.

Water Polo: Defending champions NUS sweep NP aside to advance to final

Defending champions National University of Singapore (NUS) defeated last year’s runners-up Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) 15-6 in the second semi-final of the NUS-Waterpolo Challenge. With the comprehensive victory, host NUS will look to defend their title against Masters, a team made up of senior players, who defeated Singapore Management University (SMU) 15-12 in the other semi-final.

IVP Track and Field: Dipna Lim Prasad and Valerie Pereira almost break national record in scintillating 200m duel

Dipna Lim Prasad and Valerie Pereira, both of Nanyang Technological University, pushed each other to within 15 hundredths of a second off Prema Govindan's women's national 200m record of 22.54 seconds set in 1984 at the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Championships. Dipna edged Valerie by just a hundredth of a second in a time of 24.68 seconds.
