B Division 2000m steeplechase: Victoria’s Venuraam emerges victorious to defend crown

Defending champion Venuraam s/o Selvan of Victoria School won gold in the B Division Boys’ 2000m steeplechase at the 52nd National Inter-School Track and Field Championships. He came in with a time of 6 minutes, 32.43 seconds to better his previous year's timing of 6 minutes 43.98 seconds.

C Division 3000m: Thineshwaran of Bendemeer Secondary wins in more ways than one

Reigning national schools C boys' cross country champion Thineshwaran S/O Krishnakumar of Bendemeer Secondary overhauled race leader Shohib Bin Abdul Wahab Marican of Raffles Institution (RI) in the final 250m to add the 3000m title to his cross country crown. He clocked 10 minutes 12.79 seconds to hold off a late charge by Shohib, who finished less than a second behind in 10:13.56.

A Division 3000m Steeplechase: Eugene Rodrigo of Victoria Junior College produces dominant performance to defend title

Defending A Division steeplechase champion Eugene Cyril Rodrigo of Victoria Junior College (VJC) retained his title in style, grabbing the lead early in the race and pushing hard all the way to the end. His finishing time of 10 minutes 10.34 seconds was a massive improvement on his 2010 winning time (10:32.37), and also put him almost 12 seconds clear of silver medalist Benjamin Amaldas Samynathan of Raffles Institution (RI), who clocked 10:22.10.

C Division Squash: Fairfield Methodist beat Raffles Institution for first ever title

For the past four years, only Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)'s name has been inscribed on the National Schools Boys' C Division Squash championship trophy. Now, a new era is about to dawn on the scene, as Fairfield Methodist Secondary School (FMSS) beat Raffles Institution (RI) 3-2 for the C Division title.
