“It’s extremely hard to juggle academic work and demanding trainings …” — national U-17 and RI footballer Ong Zhi Hao

17-year-old Ong Zhi Hao was a member of the Raffles Institution (RI) squad that finished 4th in this year’s A Division Football Championship. Besides that, he is also a member of the national U-17 squad. Red Sports caught up with him after the end of the season to ask about the difficulties of juggling football and studies, as well as his future aspirations.

Defending champions RI lose crown to ACS(I) in A Division boys’ badminton

Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) emerged champions in the A Division Boys' Badminton Championship after beating traditional rivals Raffles Institution. An era of RI dominance was brought to an end as the ACS flag flew high at the end of a thrilling final. RI, who had the championship trophy since 2003, conceded 3-2 to ACS(I).

RI champions once again after beating VJC 3-0 in A Division girls’ badminton

Raffles Institution continued their run of wins after their girls' team clinched the championship title at the A Division girls' badminton final. They managed a swift 3-0 victory over their opponents Victoria Junior College, winning the title for an eighth year running. In the battle for 3rd/4th placing, Jurong Junior College overcame Dunman High School 3-2 to go with the bronze won by the JJC boys' team.
