13-year-old Glen Lim set a new national under-14 record in the 1500m freestyle with a timing of 16:36.38, erasing his old mark of 16:39.73.

Ashley Lim, 11, maintained her perfect winning record at the meet with another outstanding performance in the 800m freestyle to clinch her 13th gold at the 2016 edition.

Ashley Lim, 11, won 12 golds and broke five records to retain the Most Valuable swimmer award at Singapura Finance 47th Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships.

Ephraim Tan, 12, was named the Most Valuable Swimmer among the boys as he racked up his seventh to 11th golds on the third day of the championships.

Ashley smashed the 200m backstroke and 400m freestyle records en route to grabbing five more gold medals on day 2 of the Singapura Finance 47th Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships.

Nine-year-olds Marcus Choo and Matthew Ang broke records for the 200m IM and 100m breaststroke respectively, as Nathan Lim also had a commendable showing in the pool on Day 2 of competition.

Ashley Lim won the 400 Individual Medley (IM) in a meet record time of 5:28.81, smashing the previous record by almost nine seconds.

Ephraim, 12, was the only boy in action who won two events on the night – the boys' 50 metres freestyle and the 400m individual medley for 12-year-olds.
