Finishing in second place was Pebbles Lee of CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh), who crossed the finish line in 1:11.83. Nanyang Girls' High's Tan Rou Ann took bronze in 1:11.99.
His 56.56s result is an improvement compared to his 58.77s third-place finish a year ago.
Rounding off the podium were Singapore Sports School teammates Ismi Zakiah and Nurul Syarah as second and third placers in 26.39s and 26.51s respectively.
Ban Chen Hong of VS came in second with 24.05s while HCI's Or Yong Jing rounded off the podium with a run of 24.06s.
Edwin Tan (#299) and Joshua Lim (#200) of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) clinched the silver and bronze medals with timings of 22.94 and 23.23 seconds respectively.
Ow Yeong Wei Bin's last burst in the final 10 metres of the race put him ahead of Raffles Institution's Calvin Quek (#152), who finished just 1.30 seconds behind.
Haanee Bte Hamkah of Cedar Girls' clocked 27.09s to bag the silver, while another SSP athlete, Norasyiqin Bte Mohamed Wahid, claimed the bronze with 27.43s.
