Dylan Koo of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) broke two records when he won the Boys' C Division 100 metres butterfly final at the 54th National Schools Swimming Championships. The 13-year-old clocked a time of 57.15 seconds to break his own National Under-14 mark of 57.30 sec. It also bettered National Open record holder Joseph Schooling's four-year-old meet record of 57.55 sec.
Having just set a new meet record the previous day in the C Division Boys 50 metres backstroke final, Francis Fong of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) finished first in the 100m backstroke final at the 54th National Schools Swimming Championship with a timing of 1 minute 01.50 seconds.
Samantha Yeo of Raffles Girls' School finished first and set a new meet record with a timing of one minute 11.90 seconds in the Girls' B Division 100 metres Breaststroke final at the 54th National Schools Swimming Championships. The 16-year-old broke her own meet record of 1:12.16, set last year.
