With the game twice postponed because of lightning and the Saints leading 11–8 with 24 minutes to go in the second half, the final was finally decided by a penalty try.
With this win, St. Andrew’s currently hold a 3-1 win-loss record, while Raffles Institution hold a 1-3 win-loss record.
ACS(I) built a 17–0 lead but the Saints showed remarkable tenacity to come roaring back to score 21 unanswered points to send the respective supporters on an emotional roller-coaster ride.
