C Div Cross Country: Louis Shia is first ever North Vista athlete to top category; ACS(I) win team title

Louis Shia of North Vista Secondary just managed to edge out Isaac Tan of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) by 1.47 seconds to win the C Division gold at the 54th National Schools Cross Country Championships.

B Div 400m Hurdles: Raymond Lee of SJI and Calvin Quek of Victoria smash c’ship record in close finish

Raymond won the gold medal in a record time of 55.04 seconds, just a hundredth of a second ahead of Calvin, as they mowed down the previous championship marks of 56.3 sec (Hand-timed), set by Lin Guoxiong in 1987, and 56.48 (Electronically-timed), set by Timothee Yap two years ago.

B Div Long Jump: Benjamin Ong of Sports School wins gold with 6.60m PB

Singapore Sports School’s Benjamin Ong won the Boys’ B Division Long Jump with a personal best leap of 6.60m at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.

C Division Rugby: ACS(I) hold on to beat SJI 22-21 to qualify for final

Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) edged out St Joseph's Institution 22-21 to win their National C Division Rugby Championship semi-final. The win sets up an all ACS encounter after ACS (Barker Road) had earlier stunned stunned tournament favourites Saint Andrew's Secondary 20-8 to reach their first final since 2009.
