Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Wednesday, May 23, 2007 – This week marks a very busy schedule for all you A Division boys and girls, and for the Red Sports Crew as well, as we end the first semester of the year with a whole string of exciting Finals starting tomorrow!

Hwa Chong Institution, the undisputed Netball powerhouse, have dominated the championship for years and now find themselves again back in the final to defend their title this year.  For Raffles Junior College, this is their first final since 2001, after having made three consecutive appearances from 1999 to 2001. In their last final in 2001, it was Hwa Chong who beat them to first place. The Rafflesians have now pulled themselves through against all odds to challenge their nemesis once again in this year’s National ‘A’ Division Netball Final.

And if Raffles turn out to be David (Ed: ok, it’s just a metaphor so I hope you pardon the gender mix up) who kills the Goliath tomorrow, it will be a sweet, sweet victory for the Rafflesians as they look to bring home the trophy for the first time in 23 years.
