Who will get nominated? Stick around to find out. (Photo © Leslie Tan/Red Sports)

Hi netballers and sports fans,

We started the nomination two weeks ago and since then we’ve noticed that there aren’t enough players nominated to make the voting round interesting. We have decided to extend the nomination period for another two weeks with one difference – there is now no requirement to have ten nominations to get your name into the vote. Once a player is nominated in the comments section below, her name will go into the voting round.

We believe this does not disadvantage those who have been nominated under the old criteria and at the same time will encourage more players to be brought to the attention of netball-loving fans. With the national round looming up, I think this move will make the voting a lot more interesting for everybody involved.

This is how you nominate.

Select your best seven starters by position and put it down in the comments section this way:

name of player – school – position – zone – division (B or C)

The positions are: Goalkeeper (GK), Goal Defence (GD), Wing Defence (WD), Centre (C), Wing Attack (WA), Goal Attack (GA), Goal Shooter (GS)

So for example, this is how you would write it:

Kah Hsing – Nanyang Girls’ – GS – South Zone – B Div

Nomination ends midnight on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Have fun.
