Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Thursday, July 3, 2008 – Shashi Kumar Hazra (#301) of St. Joseph’s Institution won the gold medal for the C Division Boys long jump event at the 49th Inter-school Track & Field Championships earlier this week. He had a jump distance of 6.30m which was almost a 1m improvement from his jump of 5.40m last year. He came in 8th last year in the same event.
Jonathan Ng (#550) of Hwa Chong Institution took home the silver with a jump distance of 6.01m. He came in 3rd last year in the C Boys triple-jump.
George Wong (#288), also of SJI, won the bronze with a jump distance of 5.57m.
