Sengkang Sports & Recreation Centre, Monday, March 15, 2010 – Jansenites clinched double gold in the the Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) Under-21 championships when both their boys and girls’ teams emerged champions.

Both finals saw Jansenites battle it out with the Singapore Recreation Club (SRC). SRC had achieved a double last season and were out to defend their crown. However, it was not to be as Jansenites triumphed in both matches, with their girls team winning 2-1, and the boys 4-0.

In the girls’ final, the crowd was treated to a tight game of hockey with both sides resolute in wanting to win the title. It was Jansenites who drew first blood when Siti Nur Basirah scored after just two minutes of play.

SRC were looking shaky but they settled soon enough and equalised on the 30th minute when Chung Siyi scored a field goal, taking both teams into the break with at one goal each.

The second half started at a more cautious pace but a scent of a goal was in the air. Indeed, Jansenites scored on 53 minutes, with Suriati scoring a field goal and handing her team the U-21 title.

In the boys' final, it turned out to be a no-contest for SRC. Jansenites' more experienced boys thumped SRC 4-0. SRC were shell shocked when Mohammed Sabri converted a 4th minute penalty corner. Enrico Eliph then added a second a minute before the break to give them a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, Jansenites sealed the game via another Sabri penalty corner conversion in the 43rd minute. Mohammad Alfian scored Jansenites' fourth goal and celebrations were underway as Jansenites took home the U-21 title.
