Singapore Sports School, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 — Singapore’s shooter Carol Lee finished seventh in the women’s 10-metre Air Rifle final when she posted a combined score of 493.2.

The 18-year-old National Junior College student had qualified in sixth place with a score of 393, but slipped one place after scoring 100.2 points in the final.

Finalists have an additional 10 shots, of which the maximum score is 10.9. Carol’s highest score in the final was 10.4, which she achieved twice.

Her finals score of 100.2 was seventh best of eight shooters. The eighth was by German Yvonne Schlotterbeck, who scored 399 (out of a maximum of 400) in the qualification round, but could only manage 98.8 points in the final.

South Korean Go Dowon clinched the gold with her total score of 500.1.
