Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Monday, April 25, 2011 — Brian See of Catholic High bagged the gold in the B Division Boys’ Discus event at the 52nd National Inter-School Track and Field Championships. He threw a distance of 42.31m to pip team mate Kenzo Tan to first spot by just over a metrie. Brian’s medal is on top of the gold medal he had also won in the shot put event.
Duang Kewkacha of Victoria School threw a distance of 40.82m to complete the trio of medallists.
Brian, who also won a double gold in the same events last year in the C Division, has now achieved what several other top throwers in schools history have not done. Brian’s feat as a discus and shot put gold medallist in his first year in the B Division was something that Wong Kai Yuen, Scott Wong and Chua Weiliang, top throwers at schools level who have went on to represent Singapore at junior and national level, did not manage to do.
