NOTE: VOTING ENDED AT MIDNIGHT, DECEMBER 23. THANKS TO ALL WHO VOTED.

After a month of voting, 300 people have cast their votes so far for the Red Sports 2009 Picture of the Year contest. We have eliminated half of the original total number of pictures and currently, there is a tie between a picture of Zachary Devaraj from the Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) running the B Division Boys’ 1500m race at the 50th Track and Field Championship, and a picture of Russel Low going for a lay up during a training session for the Asian Youth Games

The picture of Jervin Lim from Maris Stella High going against Catholic High’s Goh Kong Tat at a National B Division Boys Basketball match, originally in the lead, has slipped to second place, trailing by eight votes.

A picture of “Superman” Adriel Tay of Raffles Institution diving at the last possible moment to snatch victory over team-mate Soh Hua Qun at the A Division Boys’ 1500m race has leap-frogged the other contestants to third place.

The shot of Christel Fung from Raffles Institution emerging out of the water at this year’s Singapore Biathlon has firmly maintained its spot in fourth place.

In fifth place, the group picture of four Singapore Chinese Girls’ School students running down the finishing line at the Women’s 10K race is now in fifth place, ahead of another picture of Maris Stella’s Jervis Lim.

Will this be our final standings for the Picture of the Year contest? Vote for your favourite picture now!

With 1,266 stories posted in the first 10 months of the year, we put up almost 10,000 photos from the REDcrew.

We have a selection of photographs from our crew for you to vote on.

If you like a particular picture, just click on the check box beside the picture. You may vote for up to five pictures. Choose carefully because you can only vote once.

Obviously, pictures near the top of the page get an unfair advantage. So if you want to be as fair as possible, I suggest you don't vote until you have scrolled through ALL the pictures. The pictures are posted according to the Photographer who shot them.

The one with the highest number of votes come midnight on 23 December 09 will be Red Sports' Picture of the Year for 2009.

Have fun!

N.B. ISPs like StarHub and SingTel use rotating IP addresses. That means you can get locked out even if you haven’t voted. Sorry but we are using a unique IP address voting system to stop players from voting for themselves 1,000 times.

REDpoll

You have 5 votes and have to use them all at one go. Poll ends midnight, December 23, 2009.
