Coach Recognition Awards 2007

Mohammed Ali recently won the Development Coaching Award (Schools) at the 2007 Coach Recognition Awards.

This is the third time the 49-year-old coach has won this award and in his 11 years of coaching, he has overseen teams at various schools including Punggol Primary School, Seng Kang Secondary School, National Junior College and Nanyang Technological University.

At the National Inter-Schools Hockey Championships, his National Junior College girls team were third in the ‘A’ Division while Seng Kang Secondary School were third in both the ‘B’ Division Boys and Girls competitions. Seng Kang Secondary School also went on to clinch first (Girls) and second (Boys) place at the National 6-a-side Hockey Championships. At the 2006 National Inter-Primary Schools Hockey Championships, his boys and girls teams from Punggol Primary School came in second and third respectively.

Mr.Ali ! you called me gundu but i dont mind because you made us win the nationals and also the SHF in year 2007! We made another history for Punggol Primary! And all this thanks to Mr.Ali .
I would say, Mr Ali deserve this award yet again for his outstanding coachings, for bringing out the potential in us and for believing in us. He never gave up hope on us. He treated us like his own children, and we respected him like he is our own father. Having him since my primary school hockey days is something worth remembering for me, and I’ll bet, so does for everyone else who were under him before.
We were Senior Girls Northzone and Nationals champions for the year 2004 (Punggol Primary), and it is all thanks to him. [:

hi mr ali..he is a very good coach for me..he send me 2 the sinapore hockey team..I think he is the best coach i have ever had..last time i was in punggol primary and now i was in QIHUA PRIMARY..I Hope that i can go to punggol primary again.
